Best Plan for Great Wedding Hair and Wedding Hairstyle Ideas

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Chris Ryerson Many other cultures have developed traditions regarding a bride to be and her hair. For example in China it is customary for a married women to do the bride’s hair. Since she is experienced with being married and seen as a successful wife she can help ease the nervous bride. Traditionally she will also speak of the good fortune of the bride and abut the future of the couple. In the United States and Western cultures we do not have these deeper traditions but many recognize the importance of a great hairdo. Often women spend a great deal of time planning a wedding, picking the perfect dress and labor over the makeup the day of the wedding. It makes sense then to spend just as much time on the hairstyle that will be worn. By following the steps below and planning ahead you can ensure that the wedding hairstyle will be the perfect final touch to a beautiful bride. Step 1 Find a Hairdresser Several months before the wedding it is important to pick out a hairdresser that you can build a relationship with. You want this to be someone that you can trust and have built a rapport with. Ask to see samples of hairstyles they have done and even go for a cut early on to see how they work. This will help you find the right person for you. Step 2 Set up a Consultation Appointment Often hairstylists will do a consultation appointment with you where you can meet them one on one and discuss hairstyle ideas for your wedding day. You will want to talk about the shape of your face, the wedding gown you will be wearing and possible styles that you are thinking about. The hairdresser can help you in picking styles that will flatter your features and work well with your wedding dress. For example with long hair an updo can work very well and give a very classic look. Or if you want to wear your hair down and lose it can give a more romantic feeling. Discuss these options with a trained hairstylist and see what they think would be best. They see tons of people’s hair day in and day out and have a professionally trained eye and often can spot things that you might not even think of. Step 3 Practice Session A week or two before the big day set up a practice session. During this time you can go in to the hairstylist and have them actually style your hair like they will for the wedding day. This will give you a chance to feel and look at the style in reality and see what you think. Spend some time with your hair in this style and see if it is comfortable. It is also important for you to get comfortable with the style beforehand so you can wear it like it is just part of your normal style and elegance. Also walk around the salon and see if it feels comfortable and if anything comes lose. You don’t want to be struggling and fighting with your hair on your big day so make sure it works for you and make adjustments to the plan as needed. You also might want to wear a dress with a similar neckline and shape as your wedding dress. Traditionally it is a bad omen to wear a wedding dress before the big day but find something that is similar. This will help you in establishing if you like the style or not. Step 4 The Big Day It is important to go in as relaxed as possible. It at all possible it can be very nice to get a full body message the day or night before the wedding so that you are as relaxed as possible. Make your appoint hours before so that you will not be rushed or feel panicked. By following these 4 easy steps and planning ahead your hairstyle should be as comfortable to you as something you wear everyday. You want your hairstyle to feel like that old pair of comfortable sweatpants or pajamas yet something that looks like a million bucks. By practicing before hand and consulting with a trained and professional hairstylist you can ensure that you will feel comfortable and clam on the big day. Well, maybe not but at least you won’t have to worry about your hair on top of everything else. Chris Ryerson is the webmaster of Plan Best Wedding. Christian Dating: Useful Tips

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Milos Pesic Christian dating does not consist of any fixed set of rules or regulations for the person who is going for dating. Instead, it is the combination of needs of modern times, combined with the foundation of our religious culture. A true Christian, who has even the least knowledge of his religion, will not have to make any special effort to date within the realms of Christianity. This is because your values always stay with you in whatever you do in life. Be Approachable The first step in finding a date is to let people around you know that you are looking for someone special. This helps a great deal in interested people approaching you, as the word gets around. Having Common Beliefs Dating someone, who does not share same beliefs as you and then trying to change his or her thinking, can be very tiring for any relationship. Moreover, it does not workout most of the time. Therefore, it is advisable to date someone from your own faith and try to work on making the relationship better. It is always better, to let the other person know exactly, what your preferences are and what you value more in a relationship. It always pays, to have a clear understanding, as it leaves no room for undue expectations. Finding Your Mate At Christian Dating Sites So, to find someone, with same beliefs, you can visit Christian dating sites. These are especially helpful, as you precisely reach a common area, where people think, like you and want the relationship to grow, within the bounds of religion. Therefore, you enter a relation, where both the partners have common preset notions. Also, be true to yourself when you finally set your eyes on someone. Do not let your infatuation shroud your wisdom. Make certain that the person is worthy of you and your family will approve of him. Self Control Is The Key A Christian does not give in to physical attraction. Healthy dating, where you meet and spend quality time together is permissible, physical intimacy is not. So, while it is easy to fall prey to temptation, a true Christian will always avoid any such thing from happening. Moving together in groups and meeting in public places is the best way to keep temptation at bay. Taking Your Time It is important to take enough time to know the other person before entrusting yourself to him. A decision, which is not thought over well may not be the best decision and may have its repercussions. A true Christian believes in prayer and prayer has the power to guide you in the right direction. God gives vision to true believers and gives them the power to make right decisions. After a few meetings, you should be able to decide, that the person you are dating deserves you or not. The Basics of Blind Dating

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

By Ron Zvagelsky There are really two major types of blind dates. The first type is when the parties have not only never actually seen each other, but have never talked, nor have they as much as shared an email. This is really going in blind. There is concern not only over the obvious physical appearance issue, but also about the character and intelligence level of the potential date. Quite obviously, the chance that the date might turn out to be a total disaster is very high. In the other type of blind date, it is only physical appearance that is in question. It is surprising how much one can learn with a simple phone call, or an evening in chat or instant messenger with a potential date. The idea is that the more you learn of a persons heart, soul, and mind, the less important his physical appearance becomes. In a sense, you have really met the person, but now you are going to see the package in which they are wrapped. Most likely, the odds of a successful blind date are going to be in proportion to the degree that physical appearance is of importance. The success of the date is going to depend very much on the first impression. It is an adverse reaction to ones appearance that could make that first impression negative. It may be that people who obsess on appearance would do better in dates where a little less blind was involved. However, if you have a bit more depth to your evaluation process, and are willing to find out what is inside a person before you decide if you like them, then blind dates should hold little terror. The trick is to let your expectations stay a bit low, and then you have a chance of hitting the jackpot, without taking too much risk. It might be a good idea to pay a bit more attention to your own appearance prior to the date. You cant really be all that sure the other party is going to be as open minded as you. Teen Beauty Pageants, Such as the California Teen Scholarship Pageant, Can Help Build Confidence

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

By Chris Robertson While beauty pageants have gotten a bad name over the years, there are some great pageants out there that help women further their academic aspirations. The California Teen Scholarship Pageant is one such pageant that isn’t all about beauty or modeling, it’s about helping women further their education, build confidence, and even give them a leg up on helping in their local community. These pageants really are much different than your traditional teen pageant or beauty pageant and are worth looking into for every woman. The great thing about scholarship pageants is that they don’t focus on beauty alone. Of course, judging does include beauty and poise, but it’s not just about beauty. In fact, these scholarship pageants usually do not have a swimsuit or talent judging, which is a load off of most girls’ minds. In fact, pageants like the California Teen Scholarship Pageant usually judge on grade point average, poise, beauty, and overall personality and aspirations. This means that every teen, whether she has been in pageants all of her life or this is her first one. In fact, teen pageants such as the California Teen Scholarship Pageant encourage young women from all backgrounds and all experience levels to get involved. Most of the teens that get involved with these scholarship pageants are first time pageant competitors. California pageants report that many of the girls compete once and come back the next year with a couple friends so that they can all compete and hopefully win a scholarship to help them to go the school of their choice. The great thing about this is that good portions of the teens are on an even playing field, so that anyone truly can win. You don’t have to be the most beautiful teen in the state to win this pageant, because it’s about so much more than that. Most of the teen scholarship pageants allow girls to register for the competition online or through the mail. You’ll usually be required to send a picture and an essay or completed questionnaire in ahead of time and then a judging panel will determine who will go on to compete in the actual pageant. Teens that do not get into the pageant the first time they apply should not be deterred; instead they should plan to apply again the following year. These scholarship pageants really are a great way to help pay for school, which we all know is extraordinarily expensive. If there is a teen in your life that needs to build some self-confidence or could use some help paying for college, a pageant such as the California Teen Scholarship Pageant is a great idea. This pageant is all about rewarding the girl that is going places, to make college more affordable and reward her for all of her hard work. The most traditional aspect of these pageants is the evening gown round, which only requires that the teens wear a long dress. The teen can pick any type of dress that she wants, so she feels comfortable and is able to portray her personality. The evening gown round is done to help the judges determine the teen that is able to carry herself well in every situation. Many teens are looking for a way to get noticed, to pay for college, and help build their resume and self-confidence. Pageants such as the California Teen Scholarship Pageant can help a teen do all of these things, and more. These scholarship pageants really are a confidence builder, and can be the one thing that catapults a young woman to a place where she can succeed and do the very best at whatever it is she wants to do. Keeping The Door Open

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

By Elodia Tate I once heard that if you give up hope on someone, you are slamming the door on the face of God. Have you ever done that? Have you ever thought Oh, hell never change. I know I have. One example is how I felt about my father. I often joke about English being a second language to both my parents. Spanish being my mothers first and English being a second language to my father, because he grew up in Louisiana. The southern part of Louisiana. Therefore I am not bi-lingual but I am multi-lingual. It is just that anthropologist have not yet given a name for the languages I am actually capable of speaking. However, if someone were to say He was a ripplin and a cutting up, a hackin and a hewin. I would know what they were talking about. Do you? Okay then. That should count for something. Most of my memories of my father have him doing something, fishing, watching T.V., or fixing something but a beer was always close in reach. Not mine, but his. Even in all the old black and white photographs. There is dad, just as handsome as can be, with a cowboy hat, t-shirt, jeans, boots and beer bottle in one hand and holding on to a child with the other. My father didnt have many outside interest beyond fishing and hunting. If you want to add insult to that injury, know that God blessed him with six daughters, not sons. You grow up thinking things are normal until you are old enough to compare your family with the families of your friends and realize your family is different. Normal families had cats, dog & birds as pets. We had them too, but we also had chickens, turkeys & goats. They served two purposes. One, the kids can play with them and two, when times get rough you can eat em. Did I mention that we didnt live in the country but in the suburbs? The children also participated in the slaughtering of these animals, who at one time were thought of as pets. Not the children the animals. My father grew up poor and these were survival skills he was passing on, which is great, because now if a wild goat ever wonders in my back yard.. well, Ill know what to do. We loved and enjoyed our time with our father when we were small but there comes a time when teenage girls go their own way and Dads are left to themselves. Unfortunately, my dad spent way too much time alone and seemed to miss so much going on around him, even when he was invited to join in. He preferred the isolation and the beer. Two years ago my father fell and could not get up. He was alone and on the floor for three days before being found. He had broken a shoulder and was in such poor physical condition he couldnt move. I cant tell you how terrible we all felt for not having checked in on him. He spent months in the hospital, due to discoveries of multiple health challenges and surgeries. It was a long road to recovery for him to get back home. I was grateful that hospitals dont allow patients to drink but they do allow family members to visit, and the family rallied around him. My father came home and regained his health. Life without drinking has opened up a whole new world for my father. He enjoys visiting with his grandchildren and sitting in for a family game of poker. He takes walks, makes friends with his neighbors and LOVES to shop. He is constantly buying everyone presents, almost to a fault. He is funny, friendly and enjoyable to be around. This last Christmas he joined the family and it was the first holiday, in twenty-eight years, we had both mom and dad in the same room. He is making his peace and our lives are more enjoyable with him. Yes, sometimes we do slam the door on the face of God but the good news is God is still able to re-open the door, long enough to show us what is on the other side. Forget the Diet - Lose Weight Eating

Monday, February 25th, 2008

By Rosa Smith-Montanaro The foundation to managing your weight and creating a healthy body is rooted in the fact that your body is not intended to consume massive quantities of calories. Notice I said calories as opposed to food. Your body needs food, it just doesnt need a lot of it at any given time. It thrives on small meals that are healthy and properly balanced. Eating doesnt make you overweight, OVEReating makes you gain weight. It is only a habit, nothing more, nothing less. Too many people claim OVEReating is occurring to mask your hidden deep seated psychology problems. I have worked with thousands of people and 9 out of 10 people OVEReat for two reasons. One because they are not paying attention and keep eating and second out of habit. Habits are conditioned behaviors that become unconscious and we do them automatically without evaluation. As a hypnotist and weight loss coach, I have seen people break all kinds of negative habits, like cleaning their plates with little effort. Yes, habits are formed when you are young, but they can be changed. Make a decision that you will not OVEReat for the next 21 days and you will be on your way to losing weight. To help you break the habit of OVEReating, there are a few things you will want to do. Starting with paying attention to your body. Listen to your stomach, is it slightly hungry, starving or maybe thirsty? The same part of the brain is signaled for both thirst and hunger. Second have a glass of water and wait a few minutes. Third, rate your hunger one famished ten stuffed, eat only when you feel hungry like a two or three on that scale. Forth, STOP eating the second you feel satisfied, forget full, full will make you fat, STOP at satisfied, around a five or six. If you have no idea what I am talking about then cut your meal in half and only eat half of your usual portion. Finally you will need to remind yourself that you dont require a lot of food. Look at your left fist and remind yourself that this is the size of your stomach. Remember 21 days to break a habit, do it for at least 21 days and see how much weight you have lost. How To Treat Your Body Acne In One Easy Step

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

By Richard Hargreaves Body acne is the general term used for clogged or plugged pores of the skin regardless of which part of the body is affected. In layman’s terms, it is usually referred to as blackheads, whiteheads and pimples or bumps on the skin. In more technical or clinical terms, however, it can be classified into six different specific types that range from mild to severe cases. These six types include comedones, papules, pustules, macules, nodules and cysts. Types of Body Acne 1. Comedones This type is considered the ‘mildest’. It occurs when the skin’s sebacious follicle has been plugged or clogged with dead cells combined with other substances such as oil and bacteria. This type of acne is commonly known as a blackhead or a whitehead. 2. Papules This type of body acne is similar to comedones since they look like small whiteheads up close. They usually appear in clusters, making the affected skin area feel sand-paper rough. 3. Pustules This type is considered more serious than comedones and papules since pustules usually contain pus, which combines substances such as dead skin cells, bacteria and white blood cells. 4. Macules Macules are those red and inflamed marks or spots on the skin that have been left by a recently healed pimple, whitehead or blackhead. This type of acne usually takes weeks or even months to disappear. 5. Nodules This type is considered severe. Though it is similar to the less serious papule, a nodule usually has a deeper root and causes inflammation of the affected area. 6. Cysts This type of body acne is considered the most serious of all types. Besides having a deeper root and causing inflammation, cysts can also result in skin scarring. Body Acne Treatment There is actually no absolute best acne solution that is applicable to everyone. The best acne solution for one person may not be effective for another; thus, one can only seek the body acne treatment that works specifically for his or her situation. However, it does not mean that you should simply go on a trial-and-error test of all available medications for body acne. You should go for one that has a good reputation for curing acne and for this I recommend a 4% Niacinamide Topical cream…such as Acnessential. Niacinamide is derived from Vitamin B3 and 4% topical Niacinamide has been proven, in studies by the State University of New York no less, to be as effective at treating acne as the leading topical prescription medication…Clindamycin. A Guide to Secured Loans

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Kocsis]Joseph Kocsis Finding the right secured loan is a very important financial decision in life, as it is at times a large single expenditure in peoples lives! People will often search the supermarkets shelves for bargains choosing products for the sake of a 1p or 2p saving per item and theres nothing wrong with that; I do it all the time. Our parents teach us to be frugal with money in our up bringing and we sometimes become animals of habit throughout our lives. Through the generations, inflation has seen prices increase ten fold and who would have thought years ago that the price of a loaf would touch the 1 figure. The same can be said about UK property, as the housing market has exploded and the average mortgage has gone way above the 100,000 figure. This is before we align our currency and interest rate with the euro. Ireland has seen a massive explosion in property prices in the post years of joining the euro and it is now an extremely expensive place to buy property. By comparison the UK property market is still cheap and I dread to think what will happen to property prices when the UK eventually aligns itself with the euro and interest rates are reduced to 3.5%. Will we see the average UK mortgage at the 200,000 figure? An Englishmans house is his castle but for the average homeowner with the average mortgage that is now in excess of the 100,000 it is an extremely expensive commodity. Many people do not realise that it could pay them to review and move their mortgages by remortgaging on a regular basis and moving their secured loans as the simple arithmetical advantages of this could be in the thousands as a consequence. Consider this as a normal mathematical comparison. A 2% saving on a 100,000 mortgage works out at 2,000 per year and assuming that this saving can be made every year by moving the mortgage to another lender, it equates to an astronomical 50,000 saving over the normal mortgage term of 25 years. A 2% saving on a simple 20,000 secured loan works out at 400 per year and assuming that this saving can be made every year by moving the secured loan to another lender, it equates to an astronomical 4,000 saving over the normal secured loan term of 10 years. It just doesnt make sense to be putting that sort of money into a lenders pockets when they already make billions of s net profit per year. Most of us have all experienced hard times at some stage in our lives and received letters from banks telling us that they are going to charge us 27 for bouncing a cheque or non payment of a direct debit or standing order. Now is the time to hit back and take some of that money back from them by taking advantage of the discounts that they have to offer to borrowers. So, if there is massive saving around like that, why do people not remortgage or move their secured loans around more often? Surveys conducted by mortgage lenders have identified that some people are just not aware, whilst others have said that they just could not be bothered. Some people have stated that the mortgage market is just too complicated. Well, the range of UK mortgages has increased dramatically over the past few years. Although this increase in mortgage types has added complexity, it has also introduced fierce competition, which has in turn resulted in the availability of some very attractive mortgage products for the customer. With over 10,000 mortgage products to choose from, how do we ensure that we get the best mortgage and remortgage rates? Employing the services of a whole of market mortgage and loan broker can pay dividends here as they have sophisticated computer software to narrow down the mortgage and secured loans products and arrange the cheapest remortgage rates and the best secured loans. But it is not just as easy as that! You need to be aware that there are different types of mortgage brokers in the UK. * There are those that select from a panel of lenders * There are those that select from the entire market * There are brokers that charge a fee * There are brokers that dont charge a fee (take care) All professional people need to be paid somehow for their services and the mortgage broker is no different. The key to employing the mortgage broker is to ensure that you are getting the best mortgage at that time and the only way to do this is to employ him and pay him for that service. By doing this you should ensure that there is no influence exerted by the mortgage lender offering him a large procuration fee, as it is known in the industry. We continuously trust tradesman such as joiners, electricians, plumbers (if you can get them) to work for us when we need them and are happy to pay their fee when the job is finished, so why should that be any different when you employ the mortgage broker, when considering remortgaging or moving your mortgage to another lender or a secured loan to another provider. The author has been in the UK Financial Services Industry for more than 20 years and has worked on both small and large projects with clients in many parts of the UK. Budget Marketing: Managing Your Marketing Money Wisely!

Monday, February 18th, 2008

By Thomas Murrell There’s a saying that half of all marketing efforts are wasted, but it’s impossible to tell which half! I know from hard won experience how easy it is to waste money on marketing. When I first set up my own business in 1998, I spent tens of thousands of dollars employing the best graphic designer and printing a great glossy brochure. The feedback was ‘Tom, that’s one of the best glossy brochures I’ve seen!’ But did it get me customers and help build my business? No! It was a pure ego trip. Now I know better. Most marketing efforts are done for purely ego reasons alone and almost all fail to live up to expectations. So what can you do about it? I believe the best marketing campaigns are built not on glossy brochures or expensive TV advertising but on understanding the needs and wants of consumers and then providing solutions to these needs and wants. Much of this is done by building powerful personal relationships and using the media to create awareness, credibility and trust in the hearts and minds of consumers. Here are the Top 10 Questions to Ask Before Spending Another Cent on Marketing. And, help solve that perennial question of how NOT to waste half your marketing efforts! 1. WHAT AM I TRYING TO ACHIEVE? Always start with an objective in mind. Is it to attract new customers in a start-up phase or retain long-term loyal customers? The marketing tools and tactics for each of these questions will be vastly different. Remember to set SMART Goals. => Specific => Measurable => Attractive => Realistic => Time-framed 2. WHO IS MY BROAD MARKET? Who exactly are you trying to target? The more you can find out about them the better. What industry do they work in, what is their level of education and income, what are their values and beliefs and where do they live are just a couple for questions to consider. 3. WHO IS MY SPECIFIC TARGET MARKET? If you have a broad market try and segment it down. The more specific you can be the better. Think of the best way to eat a delicious and juicy orange. You must carefully peel away the astringent protective skin of the orange. Inside is the juicy flesh. When you have done this, carefully separate each segment without spilling a drop of juice. Take time to examine and focus on each market segment based on a range of different wants and needs. Regardless of size, each target market must be treated with precision and respect. 4. WHAT IS MY NICHE? I heard a great saying from fellow speaker Maree Wrack recently. “Provide the fruit, not the whole supermarket!”. Focus on your strengths and deliver this product or service really well. 5. WHAT PROBLEM CAN I SOLVE? I believe running a successful business is pretty simple. As Bill Clinton said ‘most of the big things in life are simple’. Being in business is about finding out about people’s problems and then providing a solution for them. Whether you are running a multi-million dollar enterprise or a business from home, the principles are the same. 6. WHAT MAKES MY SOLUTION UNIQUE? What is it that makes your solution to a problem unique? Is it different from all the other possible solutions in the marketplace? This is commonly known as a ‘Unique Selling Proposition’ or USP.Identifying your USP helps to define your marketing strengths and identify markets. 7. HOW DO I REACH MY TARGET MARKET? What is the best way to reach your target audience? How do they get their information? Is it worth of mouth, personal referrals or through the media? 8. HOW WILL I DELIVER THE SOLUTION? What is the best way to deliver the business solution? What are the best and most cost effective distribution channels for my product or service? The channel chosen to communicate your message can define expense and effectiveness. Be realistic and savvy, make optimum use of your budget without cutting corners. 9. HOW MUCH WILL I CHARGE? Pricing is a very sensitive issue. Do you want to position your product or service as a low cost, high volume business or high value, exclusive and expensive. Make well informed, long term decisions keeping in mind your companys needs and those of your target market. 10. HOW WILL I RETAIN EXISTING CUSTOMERS? It is more expensive to attract new customers than service existing ones. The research shows that if you increase repeat business by 5 per cent you can increase your profitability by more than 35 per cent. How will you keep and retain existing customers? Create a structured model to follow for all clients and keep this is a high priority. Thomas Murrell MBA CSP is an international business speaker, consultant and award-winning broadcaster. By Steve Singleton Heb. 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” What does this mean? It can’t mean that Jesus Christ has never changed. As the Logos He was co-eternal, enjoying equality with Father and Spirit (Phil. 2:6; John 1:1). Was His incarnation a change? Was it! It was an emptying of cosmic dimensions (Phil. 2:7). But more change was ahead: “Although He was a son, He learned obedience from what He suffered and, once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him….” (Heb. 5:8-9). “He learned… He suffered… He became…” all involved change. But that’s not all. “He suffered death” (Heb. 2:9). Then, God raised Him and exalted Him (Acts 2:32-33; Phil. 2:9). Sounds like a lot of change. So what does it mean that Jesus Christ is timelessly the same? The context provides the answer. In verses 5 and 6 the author says we must keep free of the love of money because God is dependable, always trustworthy to help us when we’re in need. Then he turns to the local church leaders, holding them up as models worthy of our trust. Finally, he focuses attention on Christ’s dependability. Look at the past. Christ has been trustworthy in serving your highest interests, even to the point of giving up His riches for the poverty of His earthly life (2 Cor. 8:9), then giving up life itself. Over and over He proved He was your steadfast friend. Look at the present. At this very moment, Jesus Christ stands before God pleading in behalf of His brothers and sisters (Rom. 8:34). He is our Advocate in the court of heaven (1 John 2:1). Look at the future. His confession of us to the Father will be the deciding factor in whether we are saved or lost (Matt. 10:32-33). Nothing can separate us from His love (Rom. 8:38-39). This rock-solid dependability of Jesus Christ becomes the unchanging reality on which we can base our lives. It provides a dynamic power from which we can operate. It inspires our hope and energizes our courage. Don’t you wish we were so dependable? * * * Copyright 2006 Steve Singleton Steve Singleton has written and edited several books and numerous articles.
